Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

OneTennis is a local tennis community platform operated from the United Kingdom. References to "we", "us" or "our" in these Terms mean OneTennis. References to "you" or "your" mean the person or entity using the Service.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep it up to date.
• Each person may hold only one account. Duplicate accounts may be removed.

3. Account and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at legal@onetennis.co.uk if you suspect any unauthorised access. We will not be liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

5.1 Free Tier

All registered users automatically have access to the Free tier, which includes access to local clubs, coaches, leagues, tournaments, match recording, and Elo-based rankings. Free tier users may book coaching sessions up to 1 week in advance and do not receive a monthly session allowance.

5.2 Paid Subscription Plans

OneTennis offers optional paid subscriptions that enhance your experience. Current plans include:

• Community — Book up to 2 weeks in advance; 4 group coaching sessions per month included; 5% discount on OneTennis and partner stores.
• Platinum — Book up to 3 weeks in advance; 8 group coaching sessions per month included; 10% league entry discount; 5% store discount.
• Grand Slam — Book up to 4 weeks in advance; 2 private and 10 group coaching sessions per month included; 10% league entry discount; 10% store discount.

Plans are available on monthly, annual, or one-time payment bases. Current prices are displayed at the point of purchase and may be updated from time to time with reasonable notice.

5.3 Billing and Renewal

• Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms.
• Monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand.
• One-time ("one-off") subscriptions remain active until the stated expiry date and do not renew automatically.
• You authorise us to charge the payment method on file for each renewal.

5.4 Price Changes

We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase for recurring subscriptions. Your continued use of the Service after the price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.

5.5 Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel a recurring subscription at any time through your account's subscription settings or via the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access to paid features until then. No refund is issued for the unused portion of an active billing period unless required by applicable law. See our Cancellation Policy for full details.

5.6 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, your subscription may move to a "past due" or "unpaid" status and access to paid features may be suspended until the outstanding amount is settled.

5.7 Right of Withdrawal (UK Consumers)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a subscription purchase without giving a reason. However, if you expressly request and we begin providing the digital service during this period, you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is waived once the service has been fully performed, or that you will owe us a proportionate amount for the service provided up to the point of cancellation.

6. Booking Services

6.1 Court Bookings

Court bookings are confirmed immediately and do not require payment through the platform at this time. You are expected to honour your booking; repeated no-shows may result in restrictions on future bookings.

6.2 Coaching Session Bookings

Coaching sessions may be booked using one of three payment methods:

• Credit — uses your monthly session allowance included with paid subscriptions. Credits reset at the start of each calendar month and do not carry over.
• Pay Online — pay via Stripe Checkout at the time of booking. Your card is charged immediately and a confirmation is sent to your registered email address.
• Pay on Day — agree to pay the coach or club in person on the day of the session. This option is subject to the coach's discretion.

The advance booking window (how many weeks ahead you can book) depends on your subscription tier. Attempting to book beyond your allowed window will result in an error.

6.3 Booking Cancellation and Refunds

7. Coaching Services

Coaches listed on OneTennis are independent professionals and are not employees or agents of OneTennis. OneTennis acts as a platform connecting coaches with players and is not a party to any coaching arrangement.

OneTennis does not guarantee the quality, safety, or suitability of any coaching session. It is your responsibility to satisfy yourself that a coach is appropriately qualified and insured before attending a session. We encourage you to check a coach's LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) accreditation where applicable.

Coach profiles are subject to review and approval by OneTennis administrators. Approval may be withdrawn at any time if a coach breaches these Terms or applicable professional standards.

8. Leagues and Tournaments

• League and tournament entry may require payment of an entry fee set by the club or OneTennis. Paid subscribers may be eligible for discounts as described in Section 5.2.
• Rankings are calculated automatically using an Elo-based system following recorded match results. Results are considered final once both parties confirm the outcome. Disputes should be raised within 48 hours of result submission.
• OneTennis reserves the right to adjust rankings if an administrative error is identified, but is not obligated to do so.
• Players must compete honestly. Match fixing, collusion, or result manipulation may result in disqualification and account suspension.

9. Club Membership

Club membership on OneTennis is a platform-level feature to help players and coaches connect with local clubs. Membership of a club on OneTennis does not automatically confer membership of that club's own legal entity or entitle you to any rights beyond those offered within the platform. Each club may set its own membership terms.

Club managers are responsible for the accuracy of information published about their club, courts, and sessions on the platform.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Impersonate any person, misrepresent your identity, or provide false information.
• Post or transmit content that is defamatory, offensive, threatening, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, another user's account, or our systems.
• Engage in scraping, data mining, or automated access to the Service without our prior written consent.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Use the Service to transmit unsolicited commercial communications (spam).
• Reproduce, distribute, or exploit any part of the Service without our written permission.

11. User Content

You may submit content to the Service (such as profile information, messages, match results, and bio text). By submitting content you grant OneTennis a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and use that content for the purpose of operating the Service.

You are solely responsible for any content you submit and warrant that it does not infringe any third-party rights. We may remove content that breaches these Terms without prior notice.

12. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the Service — including the OneTennis name, logo, software, design, and content produced by us — is owned by or licensed to OneTennis. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property except as expressly permitted for personal, non-commercial use of the Service.

13. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including:

• Stripe — for payment processing. Your payment data is handled by Stripe and subject to their privacy policy. We do not store your full card details.
• GeoNames — for location search during registration.

We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OneTennis's total liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you to OneTennis in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold OneTennis and its officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, losses, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

17. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at legal@onetennis.co.uk. We will process your request in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for breach of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive termination.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. We may also send a notification to your registered email address for significant changes. Your continued use of the Service after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and OneTennis both agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at legal@onetennis.co.uk and we will do our best to resolve it informally. You may also have the right to use an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider or to refer a complaint to the relevant regulatory authority.
